Sew much fun!

Hello crafters!  I want to share an altered project I've been working on for a co-worker.  She loves to sew and just bought herself a new sewing machine for her birthday.  So I wanted to make her something to go in her sewing room...a sewing box that she can keep buttons, scraps, etc. in!

I started out with an old cigar box and covered it with Graphic45 paper called Couture.

I then added some embellishments, ribbon around the side and dowels on the bottom.
Here's a peek of the inside of the box.

I also made a pin cushion to go along with the box!

Celebrate in style

Hello crafters!  Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.  I'm just enjoying summer and crafting when I can.  Today I want to share a few birthday cards I made for family and friends.

I love Stamping Bella stamps!  I have a niece who loves handbags, and how many of us don't! I thought this was perfect for her.
This card I made for a co-worker who loves traveling.  The images are from Stampin Up.  To me they look like images from someplace like London...well that's what I was going for anyway!
This 3-fold card was also made for a co-worker who loves her coffee in the mornings!  The paper and image are from Kanban Crafts.

Mojo coming back!

Hello crafters.  I think I'm getting my mojo back!  I'd like to share a few more cards I've made.

My family is going through a trying time right now with one of my niece's.  Her cancer has come back and we are dealing with it as best we can.  Please keep us in your prayers.  I just wanted to give her some encouragement so I sent her a little card. This was made using the Unity stamp set, In Love with Love.

I made this card for a friend who had a housewarming party. She loves anything beachy!  The die-cuts are layered although you can't really tell.  I punched a hole in the top and put the little fish behind it, like a port hole and used MME paper for the background. The little starfish is wooden and I sprayed with ink.  Die-cuts are from the Pink Paislee Nantucket set.

And last but not least, I needed a sympathy card for a co-worker who lost his wife last week.  I know none of us care to make these cards. Just needed something clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.  I appreciate them all.

Where does the time go?

Hi fellow crafters!  I hope everyone is enjoying the summer.  With being back in school, I have lost my mojo and I'm trying to get it back but where does the time go? I did carve out some time for myself while I was on vacation last week and made a few cards that I'd like to share with you.

My nephew and his wife just became parents to a 10 pd. baby boy and I wanted to send a little something to the newest member of the family.  Can't wait to meet little "Q"!
Used MME paper, cut the onesies out with my Brother Scan n Cut and colored with Copics

I made this card for a friend celebrating a birthday.  I love Besties digi images...they are so adorable!
Made an easel card with scraps.  Colored image with copics and added some embellishments

One of my brothers needed a card for a friend and asked me to come up with something.  Of course he needed it right away!
Used MME paper.  Don't remember where I found the old car image.  Colored with copics and added a little bling

Assembly line cards!

OMG! I can't believe it's almost been a month since I posted anything.  Time just flies when you're busy. Today I have a couple of cards I made for a swap I've been participating in.

The first card was made using my new Brother Scan N Cut.  I used copics on both cards.  When I have to do a number of cards, I like to use the assembly line technique. This saves time when I go to assemble the cards.  I stamped the flower six times, colored with my copics and scanned into my Brother to be cut.  It's adhered to the card with an action wobble spring. Paper used is from scraps, cut to size and adhered to white card stock with ribbon added.

My second card was done in the same fashion.  The image was stamped a number of times and colored with copics then cut to size. Added a hint of bling to the sentiment.
